Images of the Madawaska
Recently I was asked to be apart of an exhibit at South of 60 Arts Centre in Barrys Bay Ontario, regarding the Madawaska and Bonnechere River watersheds. Since water features prominently in some of my work, I took up the challenge. Instead of creating my usual stone and water images, I wanted to look at the rivers in a new way. I live across from the Madawaska and she has been part of my life for the past five years now. I love her, she is deep and dark, she flows with strength and purpose. I love the way the spring waterfalls show up crating into her with urgency....
You can see my pieces among the other beautiful works created for this event, at the link here http://www.bonnechereriver.ca/ watershed---a-virtual-art-exhi bit
Several of these fine works will be on display soon, after July 22 at the Neat Coffee Shop in Burnstown Ontario ....within shouting distance of the Madawaska River...
