Tribute to Oscar Peterson

Here I am putting the finishing touches on the undulating keyboard that is part of the tribute to Oscar Peterson at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa Canada. I love painting large, it satisfies something in my soul. I was brought up with Jazz music playing in our house all the time. It is with pleasure and pride that I created and designed this imagery. Mom would be proud!
I love my job as an artist!

rocky pool

Rock pools have always facinated me, from childhood puddles, backyard streams and creeks, and the irrisistable lure of rushing water over worn tumbled stone or limpid pools dallying with the sunlight. In all its forms the fascination remains.
Here is a new floor cloth I am working on in the sudio...it is 7'x7' right now but eventually will be a runner and a living room area "rug" under a glass coffee table.
I had fun painting the minnows...
